3M Scotch-Weld 1099 is a nitrile rubber-based plastic adhesive that achieves maximum strength after heat activation. The product is resistant to oil, fuels and plasticisers. Scotch-Weld 1099 is suitable for bonding decorative films to fibre-reinforced plastics, polyamide, ABS and foams to various rubber qualities, rigid fabrics and papers, metals, wood, leather, felt and fabrics as well as rigid and soft PVC.

The surface cleaner is used to degrease, clean and prepare parts to be joined before bonding. It can be used on various smooth materials, such as metals, plastic, glass, etc. The surface cleaner consists of isopropanol. Please check compatibility with the materials used before use. Clean all surfaces carefully before each application and only use clean, lint-free cloths. The best bonding results are achieved if you pre-clean the parts to be bonded, then roughen them (e.g. with Scotch-Brite 7447) and clean them again.
