Variants
The 3M Scotchcast 92-NBB series cast resin junction set is designed for one to five-core, unshielded low-voltage plastic cables. The application ensures the electrical insulation and mechanical protection of branches with commercially available branch connectors. The SVHC-free Y-fitting, tested in accordance with EN 50393, can be used indoors and outdoors as well as in the ground or under water. The two-part moulded shell can be folded up in no time at all and closes by automatically snapping into place. Pre-moulded, perforated foam seals are also used. This eliminates the previously time-consuming use of a saw and adhesive tape for a tight seal. A GMG system (closed mixing and moulding) is used when casting the 3M Scotchcast casting resin 40 included in the scope of delivery. This virtually eliminates contact with the casting resin during processing. The transparent mixing bag guarantees visual control of the mixing process. After use, the mixing bag can be disposed of with the cured casting resin residue as normal household waste. Disposal as hazardous waste is not necessary. Y-junction set for the simple production of secure cable connections.
