The 3M Scotchrap corrosion protection tape 51 is a self-adhesive, thick PVC electrical insulation and corrosion protection tape with a special anti-corrosive adhesive system. It is resistant to salt water, weathering, UV rays, diluted alkalis and acids. Its limit temperature is 80 °C. The corrosion protection tape is particularly suitable for protecting underground pipes and masts.

The best bonding results are achieved if you pre-clean the parts to be bonded, then roughen them (e.g. with Scotch-Brite 7447) and clean them again.
