The transfer adhesive tapes in the 3M 300 adhesive series are characterised by their very high initial adhesion and are particularly suitable for finishing metal and plastic signs. The transfer adhesive tapes are temperature-resistant from -40°C to +85°C (up to +120°C for short periods).

The surface cleaner is used to degrease, clean and prepare parts to be joined before bonding. It can be used on various smooth materials, such as metals, plastic, glass, etc. The surface cleaner consists of isopropanol. Please check compatibility with the materials used before use. Clean all surfaces carefully before each application and only use clean, lint-free cloths. The best bonding results are achieved if you pre-clean the parts to be bonded, then roughen them (e.g. with Scotch-Brite 7447) and clean them again. The 3M polyimide film 1205 is characterised above all by its extreme temperature resistance and very good dielectric properties. In conjunction with a solvent-resistant acrylate adhesive, it forms a powerful combination of mechanical, electrical, thermal and chemical properties, which remain stable in a temperature range of -40 °C to +155 °C. This means that the insulating tape belongs to insulating material class F. The 0.076 millimetre thin adhesive tape can withstand a breakdown voltage of 7,500 volts and is flame-retardant in accordance with UL 510, making the polyimide film particularly suitable for applications where it is exposed to high temperature fluctuations, especially for masking contacts when soldering circuit boards.
