Robust bonds at high temperatures. The 3M Transfer Adhesive Tape 966 consists of the 3M High Temperature Acrylic Adhesive 100 and a compacted protective paper. This adhesive is designed for industrial applications that are exposed to very high temperatures for short periods of time. The transfer tape meets NASA specifications for low outgassing (ASTM E 595) and low leachable chloride, which can be of great importance to the electronics and aerospace industries. In the past, a total mass loss of 1.00 per cent and captured volatile condensable fraction of 0.10 per cent were used as limits for rejection of spacecraft materials (NASA).

Transparent, double-sided, 50 µm thick transfer adhesive tape for thin constructions and temperature-resistant acrylate adhesive for permanent bonds.
Due to the higher peel strength compared to other acrylic adhesives
3M Transfer Tape 966 achieves strong bonds that are resistant to chemicals and high temperatures with the 3M 100 Series acrylic adhesive.

Advantages

Short-term temperature tolerance of up to 232°C. The compacted protective paper reduces edge breakage during manual processing of metal plates.

It can be used on various smooth materials, such as metals, plastic, glass, etc. The surface cleaner consists of isopropanol. Please check compatibility with the materials used before use. Clean all surfaces carefully before each application and only use clean, lint-free cloths. The best bonding results are achieved if you pre-clean the parts to be bonded, then roughen them (e.g. with Scotch-Brite 7447) and clean them again.
