Robust bonds at high temperatures. The 3M Transfer Adhesive Tape 966 consists of the 3M High Temperature Acrylic Adhesive 100 and a compacted protective paper. This adhesive is designed for industrial applications that are exposed to very high temperatures for short periods of time. The transfer tape meets NASA specifications for low outgassing (ASTM E 595) and low leachable chloride, which can be of great importance to the electronics and aerospace industries. In the past, a total mass loss of 1.00 per cent and captured volatile condensable fraction of 0.10 per cent were used as limits for rejection of spacecraft materials (NASA).
