Versatile indoor and outdoor applications Pressed compact discs differ from wound compact discs, which are wrapped around a core, in their layer structure: The open fleece is cured and compressed for added strength and durability. Due to the unique manufacturing process, compressed compact discs are well suited for processing edges and contours.
