Product information "3M PST cold-shrink tubing, EPDM, black, 98.3/24.4 mm, 235 mm"

3M cold shrink sleeves are used to insulate all plastic or rubber insulated cables. The products are supplied pre-stretched on a removable support spiral, enabling efficient and simple installation. After installation, the cold-shrink tubing provides reliable protection against moisture thanks to its constant radial contact pressure. Its good thermal stability and resistance to acids, alkalis, ozone and UV radiation guarantee long-lasting functionality. The 3M EPDM cold-shrink tubing is stretched at the factory and mounted on a removable plastic support spiral. Simply prepare the connection, attach the tubing and unwind the support spiral.

3M polyimide film 92 is characterised above all by its extreme temperature resistance and very good dielectric properties. In conjunction with a high-quality silicone adhesive, it forms a high-performance combination of mechanical, electrical, thermal and chemical properties, which remain stable in a temperature range from -40 °C to +180 °C. This means that the insulating tape belongs to insulating material class H. The 0.076 millimetre thin adhesive tape can withstand a breakdown voltage of 7,500 volts and is flame-retardant in accordance with UL 510. The polyimide film is therefore suitable for applications where it is exposed to high temperature fluctuations, particularly for masking contacts when soldering circuit boards. As it is printable, it can also be used for cable bundling and labelling, among other things.
