Scotch Tape 6893 is a high performance coloured tape with a PVC film backing and a natural rubber/resin solvent-based adhesive that provides high shear strength and initial tack. It is available in several colours. Scotch adhesive tape 6893 can be easily processed with all hand dispensers. It is used for sealing envelopes, colour coding, joining, fastening, decorative purposes and for bundling heavier cartons. The adhesive tape is printable. #6893 is best applied at room temperature to clean, dust-free cardboard substrates. After application, the adhesive tape retains the temperatures to which a package is normally exposed during transport and storage.

The best bonding results are achieved if you pre-clean the parts to be bonded, then roughen them (e.g. with Scotch-Brite 7447) and clean them again. The 3M MDT-A heat-shrinkable tubing is a halogen-free, medium-walled heat-shrinkable tubing made of radiation cross-linked polyolefin with a hot-melt adhesive coating.
