Large and wide discs require a higher number of carats to reduce diamond wear. Single-grain dressers are graded according to diamond size. Multigrain and multigrain dressers therefore have a higher carat content.

With a prepared cleaning cloth, microbes, viruses and bacteria can be removed from a hard, non-porous surface of 4.65 m² when used correctly. Surface condition and soiling, cleaning process and control and preparation of the  cleaning cloths can reduce the area specification.

The range of pressed compact discs extends from an aggressive and rigid deburring tool to a soft tool for a perfect surface finish.
