The 3M adhesive marking tape 471F is a soft PVC adhesive tape for various applications. It is suitable for covering and sealing all surfaces and containers, including round and irregularly shaped ones, for interior decoration, as hazard marking, for labelling playing fields and areas and for general marking and protection. The film is very conformable, abrasion-resistant and resistant to many solvents except ketones, chlorinated hydrocarbons and esters.

The 3M Scotchlok connector is suitable for connecting solid or stranded conductors in installation wiring technology. With a cross-section range of 0.5 to 1.5 square millimetres, it enables a through-connection even on uncut conductors. The black Scotchlok connector can withstand a maximum voltage of 30 volts and a maximum temperature of 105 °C. It can be used in control, measurement and regulation applications as well as in automotive electrics and switchgear construction. Its function is based on the principle of a U-element: the conductors to be connected are fed into the connector without having to be stripped beforehand. By applying light pressure with the Scotchlok pliers, the U-elements remove the wire insulation, increase the contact surface and establish contact with the conductor. The spring-loaded U-element encloses the individual conductors and ensures a mechanically strong, vibration-proof, electrically perfect and permanent connection. The connector has been tested in the high-voltage test field of 3M Deutschland GmbH in accordance with VDE 0606, 0607, 0303, 0470 and IEC23F and has fulfilled all conditions.
