The 3M adhesive marking tape 471F is a soft PVC adhesive tape for various applications. It is suitable for covering and sealing all surfaces and containers, including round and irregularly shaped ones, for interior decoration, as hazard marking, for labelling playing fields and areas and for general marking and protection. The film is very conformable, abrasion-resistant and resistant to many solvents except ketones, chlorinated hydrocarbons and esters.

It can be used on various smooth materials, such as metals, plastic, glass, etc. The surface cleaner consists of isopropanol. Please check compatibility with the materials used before use. Clean all surfaces carefully before each application and only use clean, lint-free cloths. The best bonding results are achieved if you pre-clean the parts to be bonded, then roughen them (e.g. with Scotch-Brite 7447) and clean them again. The 3M Adflo blower unit is respiratory protective equipment which, in combination with an approved headpiece, provides the user with a high level of protection and comfort during welding and related activities. The blower unit has a particle filter, a spark arrester, a pre-filter and a 5-stage filter saturation indicator that shows the user the status of the particle filter. Optional gas filters offer additional protection against common gases and vapours that can occur during welding. Furthermore, an optional odour protection filter can be used to protect the user from unpleasant odours. The blower unit has an automatic air flow control which ensures that the air flow to the head section is always constant.
