The 3M HDT-A heat-shrinkable tubing is a thick-walled heat-shrinkable tubing made from modified, radiation-crosslinked polyolefin. It is suitable for use on all plastic and earth cables for both outdoor and underground installations. It is used to insulate and seal all types of connections, especially as an outer conduit for control cable fittings. It has an adhesive coating on the inner wall for better sealing. The extremely age-resistant heat-shrink tubing is UV-resistant and resistant to many chemical influences. Its shrink ratio is four to one and it can be used in a temperature range from -55 °C to +130 °C. It is self-extinguishing and complies with the Lloyds Register of Shipping MIL-I-23053/15 test standard.
- Modified, radiation cross-linked, self-extinguishing polyolefin with high ageing resistance
- UV-resistant and resistant to many chemical influences
- In hoses with a hot-melt adhesive, the adhesive melts and penetrates into all irregularities and cavities. This prevents the ingress of moisture
